		<description>I wholeheartedly agree - but the challenge is that many consumers believe we still live in an age of connecting a CD player to a an amp and to some speakers - so the only possible failure could be mechanical i.e. the disc stops spinning. 

So few really understand that most if not all of the AV parts chain now runs on silicon and that glitches, communication errors, the vagaries of the IP network etc etc can all impact on reliability and performance. As such, just like their computer, unexpected and unwanted behaviour can occur within that silicon and pro-active monitoring and maintenance is the only way to minimise/prevent this.</description>
