Crestron booth was nice. I talked to a guy out of the Cypress office that informed me that someone makes a 3rd party device that does intercom over ip… so I can get intercom working on the TPMC-8X’s!!!
First class of the day was with Escient on their Vision Series. Not a bad, lower end movie/music server. Up to 4 VS devices van be setup in a residence. No Blu-Ray unfortunately. It does have multiple HDMI inputs for Sony DVD changers. Hard drive is monitored remotely by Escient, so if there are any HDD disk errors, or the drive is failing, you will be notified. There are drives run with Raid 1. Pics will be added later
OMG! We walked into the actual Expo after a few classes and were amazed by how big it was. It was so cool, we lost track of time and ended up missing a training we were signed up for. The Crestron booth was the first thing we saw when we walked in. They were introducing many new items. I finally got to see a 6X up close, and it was sweet! They even had it in white. Free beer, so you know Neil and Johnny were all over it, leaving me as the designated driver, since Steven is 12 yrs old. Lol!
Well, we got to our Hotel late (after 10pm), only to find out that every food place closes early here. Weak dude!
We head to CEDIA in about 6 hours, so we are gonna get some sleep. We will up date you tomorrow on the events at the Expo.
I have not yet seen any John Elway statues. Strange since this is Bronco country!
Well, me and the guys touched down in Denver today, after a lay over in Phoenix Arizona. So far our impressions of Denver have been swayed by the multiple toll’s we had to go through on a highway not having a bridge. It seemed like every 5 minutes there was a toll. Lets hope the rest of the trip is not like this.
